Opportunities and decisions

What a thought! Exodus 13, the chapter that spells God's way of teaching us about life! The Israelites found themselves in a "dead end street" and started to complain... bitterly. They thought they had a "problem" and were worried about how to solve it. Go'd message was: "I lead you here to show you that when I am in charge, there are no problems, only opportunities to make the right decisions." A powerful message for us today. We had a lovely consecration service in the gym for the graduates. Tomorrow is the giving out of the diplomas. This kind of weather, we are having, demands a slow and deliberate stroll in some unspoiled area. The "eagle has landed" and Ita will not miss me that much during my visit to Poland. The ET has returned and is settling down to pursuing his short and long term plans. Since the children of my students are graduating , I have a chance to meet not only my students but also their parents. A veritable feast...socially and emotionally. So to quote my favorite "gospel in a nutshell": The Lord is good, a stronghold in the time of trouble, and He knows them that trust in Him. Till later.

ta eschata

The "last few things" and days before I fly over the ocean. I am trying to play as much tennis as I can. Today I had a beautiful match with Barbara and Bob Alexejus. He comes from Lithuenia and plays well. My partner was Sueann, the wife of Chris, who administers the club. We did well, won the first set, lost the second and lost the 10 points tie breaker. Rain washed us out of the courts, and everybody else too. The next match with Shirley was washed out. My next match will be on Monday with Sueann but I do not know yet against whom. After not playing for a week, I felt good. The club is being renowated-rebuild. Now to the most important events: Zosia is graduating with BA in Accounting ...and...Andrew is finally home. What they will be doing this summer? no one knows. Tonight my 2 granddaughters are arriving: Jessica and Heather at 10 pm from California, then half an hour later my b-in-l Dan from Missoula MO. The doctors Wong [Annie and Serena] are here and the third one [Ron] will come soon also. How am I to pack for my trip to Poland? I can take only 2 suitcases and I have so many things to take. Maybe this time I will not take the tennis balls with me. That will save the space of one suitcase. The books, of course are most important. Then some summer shirts and pants and shoes. I need to take my tux for I plan to have a date at the opera :-) I do not want to look like the Phantom of the Opera. I plan to return home at the end of June, but will I find a place on the plane? I am flying on the Frequent Flier seat...there are so few of them. I still do not know what kind of schedule I will have in Podkowa! Live and learn as they say...but it is not a comfortable feeling. I am planning to buy "cranberries" for Prymas and "fish" for D.
I will bring with me my latest computer...if Andrew loads on it my e-mail accounts, I will have something to play with...besides! I am looking forward to listening to the main speaker for the graduation ceremony at Podkowa. Hope he does not go into much theology...characterized as the Maxwellian approach. This much for now. Hope D is back from Czech Republik, and P is back from Jelenia Gora [or something like that].
